About us

There are enormous benefits to developing solar energy in an emerging economy.
In the United States
Completed Projects
BRS recently sourced and facilitated the installation of a 1.4 megawatt (MW) solar project in Dover, Massachusetts (USA) on a closed landfill site. We identified and secured the property, successfully presented the concept to the property owner, identified and screened potential development partners, conducted a bid selection process, selected the preferred developer; and negotiated the contracts and lease agreements. Collectively, our team has provided development and transactions services for more than 250 MWs of Solar PV assets. For example, in the state of Massachusetts we have provided a variety of engineering and consulting services to solar development projects, including: Athol (1.8 MW), Brookfield (0.5 MW), Dudley (1.0 MW), Fall River (4.7 MW), Lunenburg (1.2 MW), Marshfield (3.9 MW), Maynard (1.2 MW), North Andover (1.6 MW), Southbridge (2.4 MW), Spencer (3.0 MW), Uxbridge (2.4 MW), and several others. Services have ranged from site identification, feasibility assessment, and permitting; through design and construction support services.

Why Solar
Financial Benefits
Cost Savings
Solar is now very cost-competitive with more traditional energy sources, even in the absence of government subsidies or tax incentives, which provides much-needed economic relief to local businesses and citizens.
Solar energy benefits business by eliminating exposure to oil/gas/coal price volatility and whimsical government decision-making. The generation of carbon credits also represents a potential financial opportunity.
An active, utility-scale energy project will generate significant tax revenues, money that can be used for schools, infrastructure, and other critical public services.
Development Benefits
Promotes Economic Development
Availability of inexpensive, reliable energy is a critical factor for general economic development and for businesses considering establishing a foothold or expansion in the region.
Job Creation
Locally-based human resources are used during the construction, operation, and maintenance of a solar project, resulting in creation of several hundred direct and indirect jobs.
Availability of inexpensive, reliable energy is a critical factor for general economic development and for businesses considering establishing a foothold or expansion in the region.
Environmental Benefits
Solar provides a consistent, reliable energy source, helping to eliminate brown- or black-outs which are frequently experienced in developing economies.
Localized Pollution Reduction
Solar produces no pollution – Reduction of localized pollution generated from dirty fossil fuel combustion leads to an overall improvement of public health and well-being.
